Helena Oades - Clinical Nutritionist...suggests tips for weight loss to incorporate into your everyday life:

Eat breakfast: The body needs regular meals to work properly and to encourage it to use fuel instead of storing it as fat. Smoothies are a great, quick snack for people on the go!

Switch your coffee for green tea as it helps to keep your blood sugar levels steadier so that you burn calories more effectively. It also helps you detoxify … great for helping to get rid of cellulite.

Eat fat but the right kind of fat. Essential fats are essential for weight loss. They are used in a different way to the fats found in butter and fried food. Aim to have a couple of portions of oily fish a week or a handful of pumpkin seeds a day.

Drink water: Toxins can get stored in fat cells if the body cannot get rid of them effectively so it is really important to help the body remove toxins by drinking water. This will encourage the body to burn fat for fuel.

Switch from sandwiches to soup or salad for lunch (but avoid those high calorie salad dressings). Bread can make you feel bloated and gain weight more easily so try alternatives at lunchtime.

Sprinkle cinnamon on your cereal (unless diabetic): it contains a mineral called chromium to help balance blood sugar levels and sweetens food naturally so you don’t need sugar.

Eat berries as a snack such as strawberries, blueberries or raspberries: a lower calorie and healthier alternative to that mid-morning chocolate-fix. They are also packed with vitamin C and antioxidants to help boost your immune system and help you detoxify.
